Leicester City Parade Celebrate At Rutland Street!
Leicester city centre was well and truly on fire last night and it wasn’t just because Kasabian rocked Victoria Park!
We joined almost quarter of a million people at the awesome Leicester City parade as the Foxes made their way through the town centre in an open top bus, spurred on by the roars of thousands of fans as they proudly clutched the trophy the team has waited over a century for!
The streets were packed around Rutland Street, as we all headed to the nearby Curve Theatre to get a birds eye view of the amazing celebrations that were going on. We even got a good glimpse of Claudio Ranieri and several of the players holding the premiership trophy as they went past!
Huge Congratulations from Queen Street Quarter
The atmosphere was one we will never forget last night, buzzing with high energy and happiness among the many thousands of men, women and children who came along.
Over 240,000 people lined the streets and then made their way to Victoria Park to demonstrate what a great place Leicester really is. In the words of Ranieri himself it was as if the whole city had turned out to celebrate and once on stage he urged players to keep dreaming and not wake up.
It really is a dream for the Leicester side, which began the season with 5,000-1 odds of winning the premiership title and now look where they are. After an amazing season and a totally unforgettable night, all we can say is huge congratulations from Queen Street Quarter and here’s to keeping that cup for another year next season!
