Enjoy Leicester Nightlife at Queen Street Quarter

Queen Street Quarter residents enjoy some of the best nightlife in the UK

Leicester features some of the best clubs and bars in the country, whether you want to drink, dance or socialise. Many of these are located near Queen Street Quarter, making it easy for residents to get home after a night out.

Better yet, the locals are famous for their friendliness, so even if you’re new to the city, you’ll be sure to enjoy a fun time in good company.
Here are a few favourite spots that our residents have recommended…

Hakamou
Leicester’s very own ‘pacific paradise’, Hakamou is renowned for its lively atmosphere, unique décor and incredible selection of drinks, often served in real pineapples for a truly authentic taste of the Pacific. Bookings are available for parties and members (or ‘beachcombers’!) enjoy a selection of special offers and discounts. Whether it’s for a special occasion or just a fun night out, Hakamou offers an experience that’s both fun and different.

Manhattan 34
Evoking all the glamour of the roaring 20s, Manhattan 34 offers an authentic experience of the prohibition era, with everything from bespoke cocktails and fine wines (served by two of Leicester’s longest serving bartenders) to swing, blues and genuine American food (we recommend the hotdogs and bagels!).

The Exchange Bar
A friendly, bohemian bar with a relaxed atmosphere, The Exchange is located right next to the Curve Theatre and a short walk from Queen Street Quarter, making it an excellent choice for a drink before or after taking in a show. It also hosts regular live music and comedy, as well as events ranging from quiz nights to swing dance classes and art exhibitions by local talent.

Mosh
For those who like their music heavier, Mosh is Leicester’s top rock, metal and indie nightclub, with three nights of alternative music each week on three separate floors. With affordable drinks, a fun atmosphere and well-chosen playlists, it’s the perfect alternative to more conventional clubs.

Club Republic
With its lavish décor and hi-tech sound system, Club Republic has quickly become one of Leicester’s most popular boutique bars since opening its doors in 2010. With a cocktail lounge, VIP area and stunning dance floors, it promises an unforgettable night out.

The Orange Tree
With a warm welcome and a great selection of pub food, the Orange Tree is a great place to stop if you’re ever on Leicester high street. Be sure to drop in on Monday night for the weekly music quiz!
